I’m a 30 year old high school teacher of ICT living in Northamptonshire with my new husband Dan. We met at Staffordshire University back in 2007 and moved to Northamptonshire (halfway between both families) three years later. Dan proposed in 2013 and we were married on 9th August 2014. A really warm and sunny day before the tail end of a hurricane came to town!
Dan is a regular supporter at my races and often my photographer as well (!)Earlier this year, I discovered that I was pregnant, and our family will be adding a new member at the start of October 2016.
I first started running back in 2011 as a way to meet people in the area and absolutely fell in love with the freedom and break it gave me from my busy work life. I loved that I could set myself personal goals to achieve and work towards those independently.
I’m a long distance runner by preference with my longest race to date being 70 miles. I’ve run that event twice now, seeing a massive improvement the second time.
Our cat Bella is absolutely part of our little family and has been since she arrived with us at 6 months old back in 2012.
She has such a great personality and everyone that visits can’t help but fall in love with her ways. She likes balls of scrunched up paper, having a bath and trying to attack Dan whilst he’s tying his shoelaces in the morning!
Other than my obsession with running I really enjoying being active in the blog world, photography, scrapbooking, spending time with friends and family, experimenting with new dishes, horse riding, going to the cinema and hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. (Who doesn’t?!)

Nice to “meet” another blogging rider!
I’m so sorry to hear about your mum; mine was diagnosed with cancer last year and I know how heartbreaking it is… there’s nothing I can say but just wanted to send love x Eleanor@eatinglikeahorse recently posted…About time
Yes, definitely! I haven’t found many blogging riders at all since I started my blog. I used to be a riding instructor and do really miss it! Thanks for your kind words about my Mum. It is a horrible thing to experience and see somebody so close to you go through chemo and deteriorate. I hope your Mum is doing well.
